SHS-TOP PLATE CLEATS

Our top plate cleats have 4 different configurations, and 2 welded assembly configurations and a packer, refer images below for these configurations, Each type is designed to suit differing beam and SHS post sizes.
A slide show of our SHS Top Plate Cleat products can be viewed on the left.

SHS Timber Beam-Top Plate Cleats are ideal for supporting timber floor bearers on shs columns.
Either weld, bolt, tek or tek screw and weld to the shs columns.
Generally you should set the top of your shs posts to the underside of bearer less 6mm (or thickness of the top plate angle cleat). Then if vertical adjustment is required simply insert some of the 2, 4 or 6mm packers supplied, between the top of the shs post and the underside of the shs top plate cleat.
Once correct cleat level is established then tek screw 3 off series 500 12g metal teks on each of the 2 faces of the lower shs cleats channel to secure the top plate cleat to the shs post.
