SHS-PFC Beam Cleats

Our SHS-PFC Beam cleats have 3 different configurations, refer images below for these configurations, Each type is designed to suit differing beam and SHS post sizes.
A slide show of our SHS-PFC Beam cleats products can be viewed on the left.

The SHS-PFC Beam cleats are used in verandah beams, roof beams and areas where you need to cater for some extra load and require a galvanised PFC channel beam to connect to an SHS post.
Most Builders will set a laser level for the top of the cleat, then slide the cleat up or down the shs post with 1 hand then use say 3 metal teks series 500 on each of the 2 channel faces to temporarily fix the channel cleat to the shs column, then when all cleats are fixed they will weld with a 5mm CFW down the 2 vertical edges of the shs cleat channel against the shs post. This allows for maximum strength at the cleat connection.
Welding is generally used for this connection due to the higher shear loads associated with a steel PFC Beam
These SHS-PFC Beam cleats can aslo be used if the beam is a steel C-Section Purlin.
