Description

SHS Timber Beam-Top Plate Cleats are ideal for supporting timber floor bearers or roof beams on shs columns.

Either weld, tek  or tek screw and weld to the shs columns.

Generally you should set the top of your shs posts to the underside of bearer less 8mm (or thickness of the top plate angle cleat). Then if vertical adjustment is required simply insert some of the 2, 3, 4 or 6mm packers supplied,  between the top of the shs post and the underside of the shs top plate cleat.

Once correct cleat level is established then tek screw 5 off series  500 12g-38 metal teks on each of the 2 faces of the lower shs cleats channel to secure the top plate cleat to the shs post.

Also available for roof flyover construction are our SHS Top Plate Cleat, Post & Baseplate Assemblies in Single or Intermediate, the post length in these assemblies is 284mm which equates to a 300mm underside of roof beam to underside of baseplate height .
